History of ETISN

Inception was February 6th, 1947 when chartered by the Nevada State Apprenticeship Council (NSAC) and the United States Department of Labor Office of Apprenticeship, the Electrical Training Institute of Southern Nevada (ETISN of Southern Nevada) has been committed to excellence in electrical training. Our journey began with a mission to provide aspiring electricians with top-notch education and hands-on experience. Over the years, our programs have evolved to meet the changing demands of the industry. The first graduation class of 2 was in 1952, over the last 70 years we have graduated over 2,000 apprentices.

Our rich history is filled with milestones, dedicated instructors, and successful graduates who have shaped the electrical landscape of Nevada.

At the Electrical TISN of Southern Nevada, we’re proud to offer a tuition-free apprenticeship programs that combines classroom learning with real-world experience.

Earn While You Learn: Apprentices receive competitive wages and benefits while completing on-the-job training.
No Tuition: The apprenticeship is completely tuition-free. However, apprentices are responsible for small costs such as curriculum books, basic hand tools, and work gear.
